Eurovision Moscow 2009

We were Eurovisiontastic around our house last night, although it seems that every year the Duke of York Cinema in Brighton is the place to be!

The competition is often the subject of much criticism, as many countries, particularly those on the east of Europe tend to vote for neighbouring countries and it is not really a musical contest at all. However, this year the voting in the final was split between televoting and panels of musical experts, which was supposed to reduce the incidence of the contest being about population demographics. A total of 42 countries voted on the 25 songs. Norway were the overall winners...

I voted Germany, but in retrospect the song is now very annoying!
