Fairtrade Fortnight

For this year's Fairtrade Fortnight the Fairtrade Foundation are asking the nation to join them in The Big Swap. During the fortnight they want you to swap your usual stuff for Fairtrade stuff.





My tutor group, 7D, are baking their own Fair Trade cakes and will be making a swap and using Fair Trade ingredients. They will be on sale in room MD during Friday lunchtime. Come along and try them! :D

Cadbury Ghana Advert....

Thanks to Ben in 8A for pointing out this advert in a discussion about Fair Trade.

Fallon has created a campaign, which features print ads designed and painted by Ghanaians using traditional Ghanaian techniques, and a TV ad filmed in a Ghanaian village. Tinny, one of Ghana’s biggest music stars, features in the advertising along with High Spirits, regarded as one of the country’s best dance troupes. The initiative is aimed at emphasising Cadbury’s 101 year-history of trading with Ghanaian cocoa farmers.
