Google Launch Street View in the UK.

Google's 'Street View' service, which gives users the ability to take a virtual tour of cities mapped from thousands of specially-taken photographs, has launched today in the UK. So far 25 cities are included.

Google to launch 'street view' in the UK!

If you are yet to look at Google 'Street View', get on to Google Maps USA and zoom into one of the areas highlighted in blue. Click the 'Street View' tab and you can go walk down a street!

A recent report states that Google can now launch 'Street View UK' after being given the green light by the UK's privacy watchdog. They will start by mapping major urban areas and then expand. This has the potential to bring virtual fieldwork alive! Watch out for the Google street camera van near you! Thankyou Val Vannet (SLN) for pointing this out :)
